Financial sources for the festival
Jazzfest Brno is a sponsored cultural event and therefore a considerable
part of the budget is covered by the sponsor's contribution. Contributors'
names can be found below. The remaining part of the financial income comes
from a grant from the Ministry of Culture and ticket sales.
The promoter of the festival and his colleagues intend to extend the collaboration
with the Brno municipality, resulting in already mentioned enhancement
of Brno's prestige as a cultural center.
The non-profit character of the project is obvious, moreover the organizers
have established collaboration with the charity-organization Epona, which
was granted with the amount of more than 15 % of the profit from the ticket
sales. Epona specializes in hipotherapy for patients primarily with neural
diseases and defects.
